Visual Signals are not applicable to Sailboards or Kiteboards.

The Equipment Listed is the minimum Safety Equipment Requirements that must be carried onboard.
Some exemptions apply
if everyone onboard is wearing an approved PFD.  This symbol * indicates where such an exemption can apply.

These requirements apply only to Pleasure Craft, owned, borrowed or rented, including airboats, air-cushion vehicles (hovercraft) and wing in ground effect vessels.
To Save Lives . . .

  • Safety Equipment must be Readily Accessible,

  • Maintain Your Equipment, so it works when you need it!  . . .  Fresh batteries in your watertight flashlight,  Buoyant heaving-lines & Pfd's protected from the sun (when not in use).  Flares must be no older than 4 years - to meet carriage requirements.

  • Practise man-overboard drills - to become very good at the manoeuvring of your watercraft.
