Portable Fire Extinguishers:

Class A:
puts out materials that burn (eg. paper).
Class B:  puts out liquids that burn (e.g. alcohol)
Class C:  puts out electrical fires.

Your best all-round choice might be a Type
A B C fire extinguisher, since it fights all kinds of fires.
Using a sweeping motion, work the spray towards the base of the fire.

The number preceding the letter(s) indicates volume.  For example, a
10BC fire extinguisher will put out a larger fire than a 5BC fire extinguisher.
