Holed yacht was towed by OBL Service Craft, Highlander into shallow water before it could go down in much deeper water. Fully restored and operating again.

Our Service Craft, "Highlander" responded to a call to assist a holed yacht near Bone Island.  As it was going down "Highlander" still managed to tow the vessel into much shallower water (to facilitate recovery).  "Highlander" is shown below at her slip at Dutchman's Cove Marina.

Tug "Lucy Lynn" owned by Robert Cox positions his floating travel lift above the wreck.

The following day the tug "Lucy Lynn" brought out a floating dry-dock to lift the vessel off the bottom and carry her from near Tabasakwa Island, all the way back to Midland for repairs.
Note how the tug is carefully maneuvering the lift into position directly over the stricken pleasure craft.

Canadian Salvage responds to a MayDay in 45 knot winds to save a vessel on the west side of Giants Tomb Island.
Released from a strand, south tip of Beausoeil Island.

This 26' Trojan ran aground off the southern tip of Beausoleil Island.  (on average 10 vessels do the same thing each summer).  "Highlander" is bringing her back to Midland for some minor prop and shaft repairs.

Winds were estimated to be 45 knots, seas more than 4 metres.  Colleague Robert Cox took his fastest boat, "Canadian Salvage" to reach this disabled sailboat (pictured above & below) before it would surely be destroyed on the west side of Giants Tomb Island (seen in the background)  Way to go Robert!

Workboat "Canadian Salvage" rescues sailboat during a Georgian Bay Gale. Waves estimated to be 4 metres or more.

This 40' Scarab is being towed into Honey Harbour by "Highlander" following a high speed collision with another vessel near Minnicognashene.  The Scarab sustained major hull damage - luckily just above the waterline!  The other smaller vessel was completely destroyed.

"Scarab" holed, following a collision with another pleasurecraft.
